Genshin Impact has just released their livestream teaser of what is coming in version 2.7
Stay tuned for the latest updates on what is coming in Genshin Impact and what else miHoYo has in store for us. There are new characters, new gameplay mechanics, bug fixes and new events for players to look forward to. This is great news considering the delay of content to all Genshin Impact players.
What Banner and character is coming in Genshin Impact v2.7?
Characters coming in Version 2.7 are Yelan, a 5 star hydro bow character and Kuki Shinobu a 4 star electro sword character. These characters were delayed previously but are now expected to come in less than 2 weeks! Their damage and meta potential is yet to be seen however the character design for the characters is definitely high up there.
Alongside Yelan and Kuki Shinobu there will also be reruns of Xiao and Itto which would be a great thing for players who missed their banners previously as well as for older players who wanted to get more constellations for their characters.
Who is Kuki Shinobu in Genshin Impact?
The capable and reliable deputy leader of the “Arataki Gang.” Please note: capable and reliable are not appellations for the “Arataki Gang,” but for their deputy leader in specific.
Who is Yelan in Genshin Impact?
A mysterious person who claims to work for the Ministry of Civil Affairs, but is a “non-entity” on the Ministry of Civil Affairs’ list.
Will Yelan be strong in Spiral Abyss Floor 12?
Yelan is a solid character and will be strong for the abyss, we do not yet know how strong she will be before real theorycrafters and playtesters get their hands on her but they will be quite fast with the result. As of now, just by being a Hydro character makes her quite a rare unit and very useful for a lot of content. The character Yelan also has useful skills with her ult that function similarly to Xingqiu’s ultimate Q skill which allows him to shoot rain sword procs when characters attack. This is strong as it enables the active character to activate Vaporise reactions on enemies, we do not yet know if Yelan is able to do this as well but the hope is definitely there!
Will Kuki Shinobu be strong in Spiral Abyss Floor 12?
Right now it is looking like she will not be that useful for floor 12 abyss if the player’s main concern is damage as Kuki Shinobu’s skill set seems to be more geared towards healing and she is definitely not going to be able to compete against other characters like Bennett and Jean which many players would have or even an older character like Qiqi or Barbara.
Unfortunately, it looks like her use will be strictly for aesthetics or the Genshin Overworld. This is not a major concern for players as having characters that are not broken with every release of the game version is healthy for a gacha game and stops people from chasing the META as shown in our guide to playing gacha games.
