Genshin Impact Version 2.7 delayed

For the first time, Genshin Impact has had to delay a major patch, update 2.7, likely due to the COVID lockdowns in miHoYo’s hometown of Shanghai, China. But they’re still “apologizing” all the same with free rewards for players who log in during this period.

What rewards will Genshin Impact provide for the delay?

Genshin Impact has announced that the following rewards will be given to players every week until update 2.7 is actually out, starting from May 11. You will receive:

  • 400 Primogems
  • 1 Fragile Resin
  • 7 Hero’s Wit
  • 16 Mystic Enhancement Ore
  • 120,000 Mora

What Characters are coming in Genshin Impact v2.7?

The Genshin Impact fandom has been awaiting the teased character, Yelan and Kuki Shinobu, although it is still a long wait until we see these characters it is all under circumstances outside of miHoYo’s control.

Genshin Impact 2.7 release date & livestream

Both the Genshin Impact 2.7 update and the 2.7 Livestream have been postponed. The delay has been confirmed by miHoYo, but they haven’t announced a new release date yet. There’s a good chance we’ll still get to see a Livestream (plus Livestream codes for Primogems), at a later time.

Word around the internet is that the new 2.7 release date is on June 8, which would be four weeks after the initial release date on May 11.

Given the fact that miHoYo is issuing weekly compensation rewards without mentioning a Livestream date yet, it’s best not to expect Version 2.7 before the end of May at the very least.
